If you are using shared templates with other authors that are working on the
same Web, anyone who opens the Web can create new pages based on your shared
templates, which are listed along with the default templates in the New
dialog box. Likewise, anyone who has access to the Web can modify shared
templates.

To modify an existing shared template, follow these steps:
NOTE: Any user who can open the web can modify existing shared
templates.

On the File menu in Page view, point to New,
and then click Page.

Click the tab
(General, Frames Pages, or Style Sheets) that contains
the shared template you want to modify, and then in the list of
templates, double-click the shared template.

FrontPage opens a new page based on the shared template.

Modify the new page to reflect the changes you want to make to the
shared template.

On the File menu, click Save As, and then in the Save
As Type box, click FrontPage Template (*.tem).

In the File Name box, type the file name of the shared
template, and then click Save.

In the Save As Template dialog box, type a title for the
template in the Title box. You can type the same title that you
originally used, or type a different one.

In the Description box, type a brief description of the
template. You can type the same description that you originally used,
or type a different one.

Click the Save Template in Current Web check box,
and then click OK.

When FrontPage prompts you to replace the existing template, click Yes.
