Add Complimentary Themes from FrontPage 2002 to a SharePoint Team Services based Web site

You can apply Themes created and customized in Microsoft FrontPage® version 2002 to SharePoint™ Team Services-based Web sites. Themes are used to quickly apply consistent styles and formatting across your Web site. You may be familiar with the Themes in FrontPage-based Web sites that save time by allowing you to change the look and format of every page in your web with just a few clicks. Now, with FrontPage 2002, these Themes can provide a complimentary look to SharePoint Team Services Web sites.

To add a Theme to a SharePoint team Web site, open the Web site with FrontPage 2002 and edit it directly on the server as follows:

  1. In Page view, open a page, select Format, and then Theme…
  2. In the list box on the left, select a Theme and a preview of it will appear in the Sample of Theme: window.
  3. Under Apply Theme to: choose whether to apply the changes to All pages in your web or only Selected page(s)
  4. Next, choose options whether to use Vivid colors, Active graphics, and Background picture.
  5. Select Apply using CSS and then click the OK button.
  6. Click Yes if you are prompted whether you are sure that you want to apply the Theme.

Tip: To customize a Theme see Customizing Themes in FrontPage 2002.
