Track All of Your Publishing Activities with FrontPage 2002
Microsoft FrontPage® version 2002 now provides Publishing Log Files to help keep track of all your publishing activities in an easy to view list. You can review precisely what was published when on your Web site. You also can sort the log file to look at specific information
such as Confirmations and Warnings.
To view information in the Publishing Log file, publish a new or existing Web in FrontPage 2002 and do the following:
- From the Tools menu, click Options.
- Select the Publish tab and click the View Log file button. The Publish Log will open in a new browser window.
Note: The Log changes during publish box under Logging must be checked. If is not, check it, republish your Web site and repeat steps 1 and 2.
- To view specific information, click the down arrow in the Show only: drop down list box and select one of the eight items to sort log information.

Tip: Before publishing, you can look at previous publishing information from the Publish Web dialog by clicking the Options… button and then the View Log file button. Immediately after publishing, you can also view the log by selecting Click here
to view your publish log file in the published successfully confirmation dialog.
