FrontPage 2002: Using the HTML Tools Add-in

Microsoft FrontPageŽ HTML Tools Add-in for Microsoft FrontPageŽ 2002, allow you to quickly access and modify Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) tags directly while you're editing a page in Normal Page view. While editing a page in the Normal pane, you can insert HTML by using an HTML Markup component. After installing the HTML Tools Add-in, open a Web page in FrontPage 2002 and do the following:

  1. To make the HTML Tools toolbar available, in the View menu point to Toolbars and select HTML Tools.
  2. In Page view, move the insertion point to the area you want to edit on your Web page (the HTML Tools toolbar will display the HTML tags affecting your current selection).
  3. Click the tag you want to edit on the HTML Tools toolbar.
  4. To wrap a new tag around the currently selected tag, click the Wrap Tag button and enter a beginning tag (<b>, <form>, etc.).
  5. To edit the currently selected tag, click the Edit Tag button.
  6. To remove the currently selected tag, click the Remove Tag button.
