What You Want to Do

FrontPage 2000 allows you to determine which buttons appear on your toolbars and menus. For example, you could take what you use from five different toolbars and combine those buttons on one toolbar.

For this toolbar, we created a new toolbar and then used commands from a few other toolbars. This way, we can remove the unneeded toolbars and create more room for pages.

  • Tools | Customize

 

Specific Steps to Take

To customize your menus:

  1. Click Tools, then Customize.

  2. If you don't want to create a new toolbar skip to step 3. If you do want a new toolbar, click on the Toolbars tab, and click New.... Name your toolbar and click OK. Your new empty toolbar will appear. Now you can begin adding commands.

  1. Click the Commands tab.

  1. To add a command to a toolbar, drag and drop it. To add commands to a menu, drag it to the menu name and wait for the menu to expand. Then you can place the command where you want it.

  2. To remove a command from a toolbar or menu, drag it to the Customize dialog box and release it.
