Jillayne Schlicke is a Real Estate Technology Specialist with First American Title Insurance Company. She supports over 30 sales reps with real estate technology resources and training in 3 counties in Western Washington. Knowing it would be a big win for her program and her company, Jillayne implemented a web site where sales reps could access course descriptions and available training dates. She found most of the work was in writing the content for the class. With FrontPage, design, implementation, testing, and publishing took about a week. Instruction using a web browser brings this experience directly to them by employing such techniques as adding a visual hyperlink in FrontPage on the fly and then clicking-through while covering that subject. An html presentation also allows for a nonlinear approach, covering topics in any order while they're hot. However, there are challenges such as a slow connection or no connection at all. But with FrontPage, I built a local web and use the web browser 'offline' to open up and run a presentation offline. This format keeps student interest high while allowing for a disconnected scenario."

"The Site Management Reports in FrontPage 2000 are a terrific decision-making tool that I use throughout the development, update and maintenance process. I can test page load time, which helps with graphic file size decisions. Testing hyperlinks are one of those tedious, yet crucial tasks since the site is used for live presentations. Internal and external hyperlinks must work flawlessly. Also, cool JavaScript components aren't cool if they don't work. The component errors report in FrontPage is checked daily."
